The Marvel universe has some big projects planned for the coming years, and superhero fans are ecstatic.
After the success of
Avengers Infinity War
and
Avengers Endgame
The expectations were extremely high for the sequel following the era of the intergalactic villain who wielded the Infinity Stones, Thanos.
Marvel’s next goal was to make a
splash
With the character Kang, however, Jonathan Majors’ legal issues have halted the project’s progress. It will now feature Doctor Doom, portrayed by
Robert Downey Jr.
Who has emerged as Marvel’s newest formidable opponent.
Incidentally,
Avengers: Doomsday
and
Avengers: Secret Wars
are set for 2026 and 2027 respectively; however, some unfortunate news has just emerged following Disney’s announcement.
As stated in the announcement, both movies have been delayed by several months, with
Avengers: Doomsday
scheduled for
December 18, 2026
, instead of May 1, 2026. On the contrary,
Avengers: Secret Wars
is scheduled for
December 17, 2027
rather than on May 2, 2027.
Hence, we’re looking at a seven-month postponement for Marvel’s two highly anticipated releases.
Although this might seem discouraging, there’s a legitimate explanation for the delay, thus we should certainly promote patience here. The item will undoubtedly improve with time, and perhaps even have stronger involvement from more capable individuals; that much is assured.
Several actors have been cast in the movie, featuring Robert Downey Jr., Channing Tatum, Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James Marsden, Pedro Pascal, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, and Paul Rudd among others. The previous stars from the X-Men series will return to the big screen, greatly pleasing fans with nostalgia.
Chris Evans might potentially return as Captain America according to speculations, though confirmation of this has not been made yet.
To be continued…
