Bindi concluded her message with a link to the Endometriosis Foundation of America.
The cherished ‘wildlife warrior’ was scheduled to be in Las Vegas for the yearly Steve Irwin Gala on May 10, however, she had to skip the event as she was hurriedly taken to the hospital due to unbearable pain.
Bindi underwent surgery not only to remove her appendix but also to excise 14 new endometriosis lesions that needed attention; additionally, they graciously repaired her hernia. She subsequently posted this information on social media.
Robert Irwin, her sibling, informed everyone about her admittance to the hospital for urgent surgery during the gala event. However, a few days later, Bindi posted a message from her hospital room.
“Hi everyone, this is Bindi, I really appreciate all of your wonderful messages,” she stated.
I recently had surgery around an hour ago.
I underwent an appendectomy and discovered 14 new endometriosis lesions that needed removal. They also graciously repaired my hernia during the procedure.
She went on to express her gratitude towards her physician and the healthcare team at Lennox Hill Hospital in New York, stating that she feels “eternally thankful” for their attention and care. She also extended her thanks to all those who supported her during this time.
“I apologise if I seem somewhat distracted in this video, as I’m currently navigating the path towards healing, taking each day as it comes,” she went on. “And I feel incredibly fortunate for all the love surrounding me.”
The 21-year-old offspring of the renowned Crocodile Hunter stated that his sister had to be rushed into an urgent operation after her appendix burst on May 10, which coincidentally was also the night of the Gala in Las Vegas.
“She’ll be fine, but surgery – among all the scenarios we anticipated, this wasn’t one of them,” Robert said.

“He mentioned she has recently recovered from endometriosis and now faces an issue with her appendix,” Robert emphasized, adding that health is paramount for their family. Initially, Bindi attempted to endure the discomfort.
Robert shared, “She arrived in Las Vegas determined to attend the gala. Despite experiencing significant discomfort and pain, she mustered up a brave demeanor and stated, ‘I’ll push through this; I’m still going to make an appearance.'”
However, the surgeon stated, ‘No, your appendix needs to go. That thing must be removed.’ Prioritizing health comes first.
