The producer behind The Boyz has now provided an update on how the girls are faring, sharing the feeling of helplessness when the infants had to be taken to a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for essential treatment.
Jesy shared an image of herself holding Ocean Jade and Story Monroe with Zion looking over them, captioning it: “No one and nothing can truly get you ready for what parenting through the NICU entails.”
‘It’s an incredibly terrifying and overpowering sensation where you feel unable to shield your children from harm.’
‘Of course, as a mother, all you want to do is hold and soothe them when they cry. But you can’t because it seems like millions of wires, tubes, and masks are obstructing everything, with medical staff constantly examining them. It shatters your heart into tiny fragments.’
She went on: “However, as time passes each day and they grow sturdier, with the wires beginning to detach, instances like this seem surreal.”

‘The kind of twins we’re expecting are known as mono/di twins, and typically most pairs of twins will have separate placentas from which they receive nutrients,’ she explained in an Instagram post.
‘However, with mono/di twins, they share a single placenta, which can cause numerous issues—one being that one twin may monopolize all the nutrients. This situation is truly terrible, but it has the potential to result in the loss of both babies.’
Wiping away tears, the singer shared how each medical check-up revealed things had become slightly more challenging, yet expressed gratitude for being expecting twin babies.
‘We were completely unaware that such things occur with twins,’ she mentioned additionally.
‘We simply want to bring more attention to this issue since there are countless individuals who remain unaware of it.’
