Katrina Gorry has finally revealed when she’ll tie the knot with her fiancee Clara Markstedt almost two years after their heartwarming engagement announcement.

The Matildas player revealed she plans to wed her Swedish partner on June 15, sharing this information publicly through an Instagram post showcasing the pair enjoying their joint bachelorette celebration on Sunday.

Gorry commented on her post — which included pictures of herself and Markstedt sporting vibrant wigs and donning identical ‘Bride to Be’ ribbons — with the message, “The ideal HUx. Just 20 more days till I can refer to you as my spouse.”

‘Hux’ denotes a joint celebration for hens and bucks.

, showcasing images of Markstedt’s heartfelt proposal at a beautiful coastal spot.

“The most beautiful love stories never truly conclude,” the Matildas veteran shared via social media alongside images of herself and Markstedt in an embrace, proudly displaying their engagement rings.



She said yes! How did I become this fortunate?” penned Markstedt, who is not only a skilled artist but also an experienced player in Sweden’s top-tier women’s league, the Damallsvenskan.

The Matildas’ standout players swiftly offered their congratulations to the well-liked veteran, aged 30, regarding the fantastic news.

Good friend and Matildas icon Michelle Heyman was also thrilled about the announcement.

Further positive developments emerged for the pair last June when
Markstedt welcomed their son Koby Peter David into the world through childbirth.

The name features a heartfelt homage to Markstedt’s deceased father Peter, who sadly passed away during the previous year’s FIFA World Cup.

“Big sister is completely smitten, and our hearts are overflowing,” they penned, speaking about their child Harper.

When this happened, the midfielder was still recuperating from an ankle injury that needed surgical intervention back in August and had derailed her Women’s Super League campaign.

Gorry endured yet another ankle injury in April, which led to her pulling out of the Matildas’ international training session.

She did not make the Australian team for the matches against Argentina on May 30 and June 2, as she had been granted personal time off.
