“The 61-year-old head of a construction firm confessed during the May 11 show, ‘I hold myself responsible,'” he stated.

David remembered the excruciating instant when he had to disclose the devastating reality to his children, stating, “Their mom, who took her own life, was gone forever. It was one of the toughest moments for me to inform them that their mother wouldn’t be returning home.”

In 2012, David explained that he sought guidance from his sister.

“What should I do?” he inquired of her.

She responded, ‘You have to inform them.’

Flooded with feelings, he confessed, “This was the toughest moment, shedding tears upon understanding she wouldn’t be returning.”

Christine, aged 53, appeared deeply touched, referring to Margaret as “special.”

I’ve watched plenty of David’s home videos [to know]. He adored his children, and there are countless joyful moments and cherished memories.

Early this year, David warmed up to his followers on Instagram by giving them a peek into his life. He penned, “Hi everyone! I apologize for not introducing myself sooner. I’ve got 8 children. Out of those, 6 are married, and 2 remain unmarried! Additionally, I boast 10 grandchildren.” The post included several photos of his loved ones.

“I was married to their mother for two decades until depression took over her life. Therefore, I’ve been a single father for the past eleven years,” David explained.

Even with the pain, David shared that he had relationships following his wife’s death, but none lasted until then.

“I am immensely proud of all my children. This is just a small glimpse into who I am, and I’m delighted to be present today! I’m truly thrilled to be here alongside Christine; the future looks incredibly promising!” he exclaimed.

In November 2021, and she joyfully revealed how she and David connected via a matchmaker towards the end of 2022.

The couple got married in October 2023 amidst a beautiful ceremony held in Moab, Utah. Despite passing away just months after the wedding, Garrison was present at their significant day.

“I’m really happy he attended our wedding,” Christine remarked. “Everything has changed since his passing from suicide.”

To honor Garrison, the pair planted a weeping willow in their back garden as a memorial, a spot where they could spiritually converse with him.
