US President Donald Trump said he would be willing to travel to China to speak with Xi Jinping about foreign policy and economic issues.
“Absolutely,” Trump responded when questioned about whether he wished to meet with Xi during a foreign trip, during an interview on Fox News.

During his second term, the US president has frequently shown enthusiasm about conversing with the Chinese leader. Early this week, he anticipated they might have a call following negotiations where their respective deputies worked out a provisional ceasefire in the trade conflict initiated when Trump imposed significant tariffs on Chinese products.
As per the 90-day accord, the United States decreased tariffs on Chinese imports from 145% down to 30%, whereas China’s taxes on American products dropped to 10%.
Even though he showed enthusiasm about connecting with the Chinese president, Trump framed his recently concluded trip to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates as aimed at keeping these nations from falling under Beijing’s sway.
