The Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, along with her family, is grieving the recent passing of her father, Patrick Dotse Gomashie.

Although Minister Abla Gomashie hasn’t made an official statement about her father’s death, she has gently hinted at the loss via her social media updates.
On May 26, 2025, she posted a touching image of her departed father on Facebook, along with emotional verses from the somber hymn “Begone, Unbelief,” penned by John Newton, the renowned creator of the cherished song “Amazing Grace.”
It should be mentioned that approximately one year earlier, on March 17, 2022, Gomashie honored her father on social media platforms, expressing wishes for his happy birthday and reminiscing about their precious times spent together.
Patrick Dotse Gomashie was a revered former serviceman who dedicated a significant part of his life to serving in Aflao, which is situated in the Volta Region of Ghana.

Rex Omar supports Dzifa Gomashie
