May 29, 2025

It’s time to gather some cattle and shear some sheep because
another season
of
Farmer Wants A Wife
Has started. Could I get a yee-haw?

The
2025 season
of
Farmer Wants A Wife
features
four (and shortly to be five) suitable bachelors
chosen from all parts of rural Australia.

The roster features 24-year-old fourth-generation farmer Corey from Biloela, Queensland, alongside 35-year-old wheat farmer Thomas hailing from South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula.

In last Tuesday’s episode, 31-year-old sheep farmer Tom from Borambola, NSW, picked Georgie as his preferred partner prior to leaving the program.

Following was 21-year-old sheep farmer and country musician, Jarrad, who quickly fell for Chloe during the initial stages of the season.

Farmer Wants A Wife
The show remains Australia’s top-rated dating program. However, following the typical reality TV pattern, the drama unfolded even before the new season started.

Since the show has finally started, here’s everything you need to know about all the buzz surrounding it.

Here comes another possible partner exchange.

Is classic partner swapping really missing in reality TV? It seems we can’t escape it as a surprise development unfolds: Claire Hampton—the 31-year-old fly-in-fly-out worker from Western Australia who left Farmer Thomas disappointed this season—is reportedly dating another farmer…from the previous season.

Woman’s Day
It has been reported that Claire has been messaging Farmer Bert through direct messages, and just as a reminder, Farmer Bert’s story during the 2024 season of
Farmer Wants A Wife
was far from being smooth sailing. The Queensland pineapple grower’s stint on the program ended with one of the most shocking moments in recent television history.

According to a
Woman’s Day
The insider revealed that Claire’s relationship with Bert was not merely a spontaneous occurrence after the show ended. It seems she initially aimed to participate in the 2024 season.
this close
to being paired directly with Farmer Bert himself. Nonetheless, in a choice they may currently be reconsidering, the producers decided against including Claire in that series.

Talk about a missed connection.

It appears that they have now reconnecteda.

“A friend of Claire’s mentioned, ‘He also left the show, so he understands,’ ” she clarified.
Woman’s Day
He thinks they could share more similarities than most folks think.

“He is clearly very enthusiastic. For weeks, he has liked every photo she posts on social media,” they commented.

A theory on why one farmer was cut from the season.

Prior to the start of the season, it was announced that a farmer would be removed from the 2025 roster.
Farmer Wants a Wife.

Jack Rowlandson, a cattle rancher hailing from Oberon in New South Wales, was initially among the five farmers chosen for the program and appeared in preliminary promotional materials. However, when the show’s formal trailers were released, he had been removed from the lineup, leaving just four farmers.

Eureka and Seven have chosen not to incorporate Jack Rowlandson’s story line into the upcoming season of “Farmer Wants A Wife.” The network stated, “We won’t be offering additional comments,” as mentioned by a Seven representative prior to the season premiere.

Jack was
reportedly removed
Following allegations of inappropriate conduct during production, from the show.

In an episode of the
Memoirs of a Television Personality
podcast
, 2024
FWAW
contestant Ellen Dunger spoke to Tahlia Pritchard and Lachlan Guertin about her experience on the reality show, but it was a comment on this season’s missing farmer that stood out.

Ellen claims to have mutual friends with Jack. “Those friends say [he’s a] good guy, [they] don’t have anything [bad] to say,” she began.

“However, everything I have heard and all the information I’ve received seems quite unremarkable,” she stated.

I’ve heard what went down, and apparently, during filming, he was involved with multiple girls and leading each one of them on.

She went on, “He was involved with other girls, and things weren’t going well at all.”

This account of the events matches the previous one.
reports from the
Daily Mail
that Jack was ‘spotted getting intimate with other women during production last year,’ resulting in all scenes related to his character being removed from the reality series’ ultimate cut.

In an Instagram Story posted in April,
a woman claiming
To have participated as one of Jack’s contestants, a woman named Charlotte Martin, mentioned that her experience on the program caused her significant psychological distress.

Another farmer is joining
Farmer Wants A Wife.

Although it may be quite tardy for the season,
Farmer Wants a Wife
Is putting a fresh-faced farmer into the arena.Alrighty!

The newest member joining us for the 2025 season is Farmer Jack—hopefully an improved version of our previous Jacks! This young man hails from Railton, a quaint locale up north in Tasmania; he’s only 26 years old but runs a dairy farm alongside his sibling. Describing himself succinctly yet effectively, Jack labels himself “dependable and honest,” sharing interests such as making music, caring for critters, crafting wooden items, fixing classic automobiles, and unwinding over drinks with mates down at the neighbourhood tavern.

Jack didn’t really sign up for the show — his mother covertly sent in his application after coming across a casting announcement. When the production team reached out to him, Jack confesses he was taken aback at first. However, upon reflection, he viewed it as an unusual chance to discover love and chose to embrace the experience.

Jack mentioned he’s searching for someone who has a soothing demeanor and appreciates the basic pleasures in life. He described wanting a woman who values her family, has a great sense of humor, and would be open to relocating to rural areas for him. Additionally, she should also have an interest in having children!

Jack is scheduled to make his first appearance on
Farmer Wants a Wife
in the episode airing next Monday night. His arrival follows
Tom has selected Georgie to be his special lady for this week.
Following Jarrad’s departure upon meeting his match with Chloe, this opens up an opportunity for a fresh-faced farmer to embark on their journey towards eternal romance.

Emma speaks out about Farmer Tom’s harsh breakup.

Last week’s
Farmer Wants A Wife
unleashed a shocker that stunned audiences: Farmer Tom, despite seeming to develop a real bond with crowd-pleaser Emma, suddenly dismissed her from the show.

The choice left both Emma and the show’s audience surprised, with numerous viewers having considered the alluring participant as a strong contender from the beginning.

Viewers were disappointed by Emma’s exit. Image: Seven.

Before she was eliminated, Emma shared her thoughts with Tom, saying, “I find you incredible.”

However, things became uncomfortable fast since Tom’s reply was chilly as an iceberg. He pulled Emma apart from the group and mentioned, “It has certainly been nice becoming acquainted with you. You possess many wonderful traits. Yet at the same time, I’ve also been spending time getting to know some other women,” he went on to say.

Next, giving a vacant look, he remarked, “It seems I share deeper bonds with several of the others.”

Emma looked shocked but merely responded with, “Alright.” Tom then stated, “I need to make a hard choice here; things aren’t ideal, plus you’re an amazing person.”

The encounter concluded clumsily, as Tom departed without giving Emma a hug or any form of solace. Ouch, right!

Currently, Emma has shared insights into her intense departure and what those contentious moments were truly like from an insider’s perspective. Surprisingly, she didn’t find everything negative about the experience.

“Yes, they left me there alone for a few minutes, and truthfully, it’s nice to have a moment to process everything that occurred; I must say, I was quite stunned,” she shared.
Yahoo Lifestyle.

It seems harsh, yet oddly enough, it provided me with the time to gather my thoughts and accept what was going on. He accompanied me to the car mere moments later.

Although the split was emotionally charged, Emma stated that the most difficult aspect for her was not having the opportunity to bid farewell to the other women involved.

“It might have been for the best, as it would’ve made everyone rather emotional, plus there was another elimination that evening… However, I wished I had the chance to say farewell,” she mentioned.

Check out when Tom ended things with Emma. The article continues below.

Following the airing of the episode, viewers expressed their anger online, criticizing both Tom and the production team for showing insufficient compassion towards Emma during that time.

One viewer wrote on
the show’s Instagram post
That was the poorest performance I’ve observed on this show. It was truly awful. Em, you’re amazing. You were incredibly open and genuine, and you warranted much greater respect from him and the producers than what we saw here.

Another commenter noted, “He could have managed it with far greater dignity and respect… No hug or anything? Really let down!”

Apparently, Farmer Thomas has found love.

Although he might have felt crushed when Claire departed from the series, rumors circulating at the farm suggest that Thomas has successfully found affection with someone new.

In an interview with
Chattr
,
Farmer Wants A Wife
contestant Daisy Lamb let the cat out of the bag.

She asserted that Clarette ultimately ends up with Thomas.
the publication
, stating that she thinks they are still an item since the show wrapped up.

“A few girls from Thomas’ farm mentioned to me that Clarette is currently residing at the farm. Since she’s a teacher, I gather she has moved and might be teaching at a local school,” she explained.

The report also uncovered evidence that Clarette has begun working as a teacher at the Wudinna Area School close to Farmer Thomas.

In a newsletter published this year, the school’s deputy head stated, “We extend a warm welcome to Clarette as she becomes part of our Secondary Teaching team for 2025. Clarette (Miss G), hailing from New South Wales with origins tracing back to England, will be joining us.”

He is an experienced English instructor, and we are eager to see the knowledge he will share with our students.

This occurs merely days after Daisy made her allegations.

Both Farmer Thomas and Farmer Corey have managed to find success in their romantic pursuits.

Meet the 2025
Farmer Wants A Wife
intruders.

Much like how farmers Corey, Thomas, and Tom have forged solid relationships with their present set of possible collaborators, host Natalie Gruzlewski is ready to throw in an unforeseen turn of events.

Intruder alert! Natalie has combed the nation to identify four extra prospective collaborators for every farmer.

The farmers will welcome some new arrivals. Image: Seven.

On Monday evening, every farmer dedicated some time to interact with the new arrivals prior to choosing two of them to incorporate into their current team at their individual properties.

For Farmer Thomas, the newcomers included Jess, aged 32, a sports manager from New South Wales known for her optimism and appreciation of Thomas’ authenticity; Laura, 30, a mining procurement specialist from Queensland looking for a fervent companion; Tayla, also 32, a Victorian paramedic who believes rural living suits child-rearing perfectly; and Kirrin, at 35, an intrepid global airline stewardess hailing from New South Wales.

Farmer Corey plans to greet ‘howdy’ to Chloe, aged 25—a sentimentally inclined registered nurse hailing from Queensland; Annie, who’s 28 years old and works as a sales support officer with strong ties to rural areas; Amberlee, at 23, a veterinary nurse passionate about horses; along with Kailey, also 28, a compassionate medical receptionist originally from Victoria.

For Farmer Tom, the trespassers include Emily, aged 32—a compassionate social worker; Jenna, at 26—an earnest student with a strong sense of compassion; Mady, 30 years old—a resolute policewoman; and Tijan, 34—someone highly motivated as a dermatological therapist.

It’s going to get a bit more packed, huh!

The latest additions are sure to stir things up and challenge current relationships. Exciting!

The
Farmer Wants A Wife
salaries are leaked.

Oh, oh, oh… it appears that falling in love on a farm is not only an emotional drain but also a financial one. As reported by ex-farmers,
Farmer Wants a Wife
contestant Ellen Dunger — who was featured on Farmer Todd Melbourne’s farm in 2024 — the reality program compensated her with an “outrageous” sum of money throughout the production period, a significant portion only reaching her post-airing of the series.

Eureka Productions pays actors $80 each day they film, but they hold back 40 percent of this amount until after the show has been broadcasted. This means effectively, one waits half a year to receive an additional 40 percent of $80 daily,” she explained.

Even during filming when you’re attempting to extract the small payment they offer, it turns out to be quite a challenging endeavor. In hindsight, I believe we needed to send numerous emails, similar to how the women on my farm would have to do, just to receive our compensation. It was absurd.

Maybe this sheds light on the “mass departure” this season. It appears love struggles to flourish when you’re preoccupied with whether you can afford fuel for your journey back. Who would have thought participating in a reality show could be so costly?

Why are so many women stepping down?

Farmer Wants A Wife
Viewers were puzzled on Monday evening when two of Farmer Tom’s possible suitors abruptly departed from his property, just hours after they had arrived.

In this episode, Bridget and Emmie-Rose departed via a Maxi Taxi at daybreak without clearly explaining their departure to Tom. However, viewers are left wondering about the real reason behind their exit and pondering why numerous female characters are exiting the series so abruptly during the initial part of the season.

Although the unexpected departure has left audiences puzzled, both individuals have subsequently detailed their versions of events on social media, stating that “a great deal” of what transpired was not shown in the broadcast.

On Tuesday morning, Bridget shared a post on her dog’s Instagram account explaining that Tom’s actions led to their departure.

There were many details the show chose not to disclose. For instance, they omitted the part where the farmer was blatantly disrespectful towards me in front of everybody merely a few hours after my arrival at the farm,” Bridget claimed. “[I] received immediate support from both fellow contestants and the House AP.

Bridget then mentioned that this supposed encounter with Farmer Tom was the reason she chose to isolate herself in her room to read, instead of joining the others in preparing dinner. She wasn’t being uncooperative; she just needed some alone time.

During her stint on Farmer Wants a Wife, Bridget remained in her room. Image: Seven.

“While having dinner, the farmer requested to talk with me alone to apologize for his previous conduct — an interaction that was not shown to the audience,” she mentioned additionally.

In response to the critique that the women departed without farewell, Bridget stated: “Above all, Emmie and I privately expressed our gratitude to Farmer Tom and conveyed our best wishes before the arrival of the production team.”

Emmie supported Bridget’s version in an Instagram post.

I exited the farm as I refused to tolerate disrespect. The reality of what was occurring beneath the surface contradicted my values and identity.

“There was immaturity, selfishness, and toxic behaviour that I wasn’t willing to tolerate especially from someone I was supposed to be building a connection with. Walking away was the healthiest & BEST choice I could make for myself.”

In Monday evening’s episode, another competitor appeared to vanish from Farmer Thomas’ household. Upon Clarette, Nathania, and Rachael driving to Kimba, South Australia, for their meeting with Claire and Farmer Thomas, audiences swiftly observed that the fifth participant, Ellen, was notably missing.

This mysterious vanishing led to questions from internet viewers about the whereabouts of the contestant. “Whatever happened to Ellen from Farmer Thomas’ farm?” queried one spectator.

Even though Ellen wasn’t present on Monday evening’s show, she made her comeback during the Tuesday night telecast when they had their initial meet-up for the season at the Goulburn Bullarama, which is part of Goulburn’s yearly rodeo event.

Ellen’s lack of presence will not be tackled within the series itself, but
Yahoo Lifestyle
indicated that she wasn’t feeling well from the time they finished shooting the speed dates until her move to Farmer Thomas’ farm.

This involves Claire and Rosie deciding to depart.
Farmer Wants A Wife
Earlier this season, they left their corresponding farmers, Tom and Corey, behind. The women are falling one after another!

A potential partner swap.

The drama happening out of view is already ramping up, and it includes an unforeseen link between one
FWAW
participant and… drumroll please… a farmer she wasn’t initially paired up with.

A registered nurse from Queensland named Ella Wagner first targeted Farmer Jarrad during Monday night’s episode. However, Jarrad did not sense any spark between them and dismissed her following the speed-dating segment.

Although Ella’s time on the program was brief, it seems she might have formed a stronger bond with another farmer outside of the show—someone who didn’t end up being filmed. The images leaked and acquired by
Yahoo Lifestyle
During the Easter long weekend, Ella seems to be keeping company with Farmer Jack Reid, who goes by “Reidy.”

Notably, Farmer Reidy — who cultivates bananas and avocados in Mareeba, located in Far North Queensland — was initially promoted for inclusion in this year’s lineup yet did not participate in the filming. Although the 2025 season includes just four farmers: Corey, Tom, Thomas, and Jarrad, Reidy was considered one of the prospective participants before the final selection narrowed down the group.

Initially, Farmer Reidy was listed on the billing for the 2025 season. Image: Farmer Wants A Wife.

It seems this duo has significant shared interests—they both love angling and rural life, and they spent their childhoods within close proximity in Queensland. Their similar backgrounds and locations could account for the evident rapport seen in the unauthorized images. Whether they’re an emerging couple or simply good buddies remains to be seen; perhaps only time can provide clarity on this matter.

Two participants ruin their conclusion.

In a typical instance of social media spoiling things, two participants from
Farmer Wants A Wife
By 2025, they had already revealed the outcome of their relationship prior to the show’s debut.

Among these unconventional participants is Emmie-Rose Shore, who competed for Farmer Tom’s affection on the idyllic reality dating program.

A 29-year-old fitness instructor shared an affectionate picture on Instagram featuring a mystery guy who isn’t her designated farmer, adding just one word—“My Love” as the caption. This could definitely be considered giving away some details prematurely ahead of the show’s start!

The second participant, Ellie Heazlewood, seemingly gave away significant clues regarding her outcome on the program via social media updates, essentially eliminating all anticipation concerning whether she experienced enduring romance with her farmer. To spoil it for those who haven’t watched yet: she didn’t find lasting love.

In March, the 26-year-old early childhood educator went public with her romance with Byron on Instagram, clarifying that she did not end up finding lasting affection with Farmer Corey from the program.

Even Byron revealed his playful side with Ellie.
Farmer Wants A Wife
announcing: “I’m curious whether she will have any success with the performance.”

Although the show’s creators probably intended to maintain suspense up until the final episode, these participants evidently had different ideas.

Farmer Wants A Wife
has a new-ish host.

In addition to some newcomers from farming backgrounds, the audience will also welcome a completely new host joining them following this.
departure of Samantha Armytage
who departed from Channel Seven earlier this year.

And when I say ‘new host,’ I actually mean ‘familiar face’ since the renowned Natalie Gruzlewski is coming back to lead the show for its 15th season, as revealed during the Seven Upfronts presentation.

Viewers will recognize Natalie as the first host of the reality program. She led it from the beginning.
FWAW
Initially airing on Channel Nine from 2007 to 2012, she made a comeback with the Channel Seven revival in 2020. And guess what? She’s back once more!

Nat is beloved by audiences on the show, who are delighted to witness her making a return to her familiar territory.

Meanwhile, Armytage has
a brand new gig
Over at Channel Nine, where they announced during their Upfronts event that she will be hosting
The Golden Bachelor
In 2025. This series is based on the well-known US spin-off show that was headlined by 72-year-old Gerry Turner.

All that we anticipate for the 2025 season.

During the Upfronts, Seven’s Chief Content Officer Brook Hall hinted that the upcoming season will be “genuinely true” and “real”.

“Actually, we are shooting this week for the finale, and some farmers are extremely pleased with their placements. Therefore, I believe we will see an increase in heartwarming success stories once again,” he stated.
