Actress Joe Chen was admitted to a hospital in Johor, Malaysia, due to stomach pain and diarrhea shortly after she attended an event featuring American pop singer Lady Gaga in Singapore.

A medical evaluation after the concert indicated that Chen had appendicitis. She was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday and released the next day.
Chen posted on her Instagram Story saying, “The doctor told me it would be a minor surgical procedure. I spent one night at the hospital and am now recovering nicely.”
Chen likewise conveyed his appreciation to the medical staff for their diligent attention and acknowledged the hospital for delivering a considerate gift basket.
“She mentioned that she has already been released from the hospital, and her doctor said she can consume whatever she desires,” she added.
Chen, at the age of 46, has earned the title of “Idol Drama Queen” due to her prominent roles in hit television shows like “The Prince Who Becomes a Frog,” “Love Destiny,” and “SOP Goddess.”
