In a press release personally authored by AMB Yahaya Seriki on Tuesday, he praised the resilience and intelligence of Kwara’s youth, encouraging both mothers and fathers as well as governmental representatives to stay dedicated to fostering an upbringing filled with care and safety, which nurtures their ambitions and hopes.

He emphasized that the destiny of any community lies with its youth, emphasizing further that education, discipline, and sound ethical principles are essential instruments for shaping a superior Kwara and an enhanced Nigeria.

Denounces Violence in Omu-Aran, Praises Governor’s Immediate Action

Nevertheless, the statesman conveyed profound grief regarding the recent tragic event in Omu-Aran, within the Irepodun Local Government Area of the state, which allegedly resulted in casualties and disrupted tranquility in the community.

Referring to the event as ‘profoundly distressing and unnecessary,’ AMB Yahaya Seriki denounced the aggressive outburst and called upon the community members to remain tranquil.

I extend my condolences to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, and the residents of Omu-Aran regarding this distressing news,” Seriki said. “My thoughts and prayers go out to those who have lost their dear ones. I pray that God grants peace to the deceased.

He similarly commended the Kwara State Government for their prompt and efficient response in mitigating the crisis and bringing stability back to the troubled region. He characterized the Governor’s actions as commendable, highlighting them as a demonstration of dedicated leadership committed to fostering peace and progress.

Appeals for Non-Violent Dispute Settlement, Backs Current Growth Programs

AMB Yahaya Seriki highlighted the significance of resolving conflicts through peace and encouraged individuals to seek dialogue and legal avenues instead of turning to violence. He stated that such aggressive actions only impede communal advancement.

“As a community, we should strive to resolve our disputes through mutual comprehension and adherence to legal principles and social harmony. Resorting to violence is never advisable as it brings about devastation and grief,” he stated.

He took the chance to emphasize the importance of solidarity and unified backing for the present government at both state and federal levels. He stated that continuous progress and the benefits of democratic governance will only be achieved when citizens rally behind leaders who prioritize their well-being.

The continuous initiatives and reforms led by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in Kwara State and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu nationally serve as strong evidence of administrations committed to serving the public. We should keep supporting them in their endeavor to create a brighter tomorrow,” Seriki concluded.

As the country pauses to consider the importance of Children’s Day, AMB Abdulfatai Yahaya Seriki urged all conscientious Nigerians to renew their commitment to fostering a community where each child has an equal opportunity to flourish, and where tranquility and equity prevail.
