The Dare Adeboye Foundation, collaborating with the Ogun State Government, has organized an educational summit called ‘Ogun Secondary School Model United Nations’ for more than 2,000 pupils selected from 100 secondary schools throughout the region.
The event held in honor of Children’s Day 2025 offered students an opportunity to address global concerns from the perspectives of diplomacy, innovation, and youth-driven change.
The program mimicked the United Nations’ General Assembly meetings, allowing students to assume roles as international representatives and discuss critical worldwide concerns to enhance their leadership abilities.
The occasion was attended by prominent figures from the organization, featuring board members such as Emmanuel Emefienim, Adeolu Adeboye, and Mrs. Temi Adeboye.
At the summit, Dr. M.O. Akinola-Okereafor, who was representing the Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology as the Director of Education Support Services, praised the foundation for its foresight and sustained commitment to nurturing young people.
“This initiative goes beyond being merely celebratory; it serves as a strategic tool for empowering individuals. We are delighted to collaborate with organizations such as the Dare Adeboye Foundation, which provide our students with resources aimed at achieving both worldwide significance and localized influence,” stated Akinola-Okereafor.
One of the main attractions of the event was a quiz contest where the victors were awarded monetary rewards, including sums like N300,000, N200,000, and N100,000.
The Dare Adeboye Foundation was created in honor of Pastor Oluwadamilare Temitayo Adeboye, who tragically passed away; he was the beloved son of Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
