The Heirs Insurance Group has launched registrations for the fourth installment of their yearly Essay Competition, aimed at junior secondary school pupils across the country.
The current edition includes N10.5 million in awards for successful students, teachers, and schools, underscoring the Group’s dedication to promoting insurance education among young people.
As per an announcement, the successful student will be awarded a N5 million scholarship as well as a N1 million educational fund for their institution.
The statement also noted that the first and second runners-up would be awarded N2 million and N1 million in scholarship funds, respectively.

Submissions will be accepted between May 27 and July 8, 2025.
The declaration states, “Each submission will be assessed by distinguished scholars, and Deloitte and Touche will oversee a quality control procedure to guarantee transparency and impartiality.”
The announcement unveiled an expanded version of the program, featuring the introduction of the Teachers’ Insurance Awareness Award—a new distinction aimed at honoring educators who effectively advocate for and educate others about insurance topics both in educational institutions and local communities.
‘For the Teachers’ Insurance Awareness Prize (TIAP), the top teacher will receive a N1 million cash prize, with an additional N500,000 grant awarded to their school. To qualify, teachers must implement an insurance awareness project and provide evidence of their initiative and its impact,’ the statement reads.
Regarding this year’s contest, the Group’s Chief Marketing Officer, Ifesinachi Okpagu stated that the program represents the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), aimed at enhancing educational achievements.
