Various major entertainment shows will be sequentially discontinued during the coverage of the 21st presidential election.
As per the schedule for the 3rd, MBC, KBS1, and SBS over-the-air broadcasters along with JTBC, Channel A, TV CHOSUN, and MBN will air special programming and conduct vote counts on that date.
KBS1 has decided to cancel ‘Animal Kingdom,’ ‘Home at 6 PM,’ ‘Seize Great Fortune,’ and ‘My Neighbor Charles.’ Meanwhile, KBS2 continues its regular programming schedule without any cancellations. On the other hand, MBC will discontinue ‘N,’ ‘Honorable Prosecutor Seonju,’ ‘100 Minutes Debate,’ and ‘PD Notebook.’ Additionally, SBS plans to take a break for one week starting after ‘Take Off Your Shoes and Dole-For-Man.’
JTBC will discontinue broadcasts for shows such as ‘Han Moon-chul’s Black Box Review’, ‘Case Team Leader’, and ‘Bob Business on the Street’. Meanwhile, Channel A plans to cancel ‘Talker’ from their schedule. Moving forward, MBN will air programs like ‘The King of Thumbs Up’ and ‘The Korea-Japan Top Ten Show’. Additionally, TV CHOSUN intends to feature content under the title ‘Medical Documentary – The Facts’.
In the meantime, the 21st presidential election will take place between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. across 14,295 polling centers throughout the country. The identity of the newly elected president could potentially be known shortly after midnight once the ballot counting starts.
