The somber 15-year mark since the passing of beloved actor Kim Min-kyung, known for his roles in KBS 2TV’s ‘School4’ and MBC’s miniseries ‘Damo,’ has come around again. He was just 29 years old at the time.
In 2010, Kim Min-kyung departed from the entertainment sector after her final appearance in the 2003 MBC series ‘Damo’. She embarked on a fresh chapter of life but succumbed to stomach cancer before she could recover.
In 2007, Kim Min-kyung decided to leave her career as an actor and join the firm, embarking on a different journey. However, just under a year later, in 2008, she was unfortunately diagnosed with stomach cancer and consequently departed from the company.
Back then, Kim Min-kyong seldom shared information about her health condition with those surrounding her, which makes it all the more unfortunate that she wasn’t closely connected to many individuals.
I shared this with the managers who had worked closely together throughout their careers as actors. The managers who stayed near to him always mentioned they were not ill. He was grieving.
After the abrupt parting, friends noticed the photograph of the departed displayed on the wall at the funeral home and penned heartfelt messages of sympathy.
Kim Min-kyung debuted with KBS’s “School4” in 2001. She gained recognition for playing Kim Min-joon’s assistant in MBC’s “Damo” in 2003. Later, she starred in various productions including MBC’s “Saints and Witches,” the film “My Love Package,” and TV series such as “Our School.”
