Popular Nollywood actor Daniel Etim-Effiong has revealed that he was once a womanizer, though only for a brief period in his life.

In an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, the engineer-turned-actor referred to his previous “exploration” of several relationships at once as a period of growth and learning.

When queried about whether he was considered a womanizer prior to getting married, Etim-Effiong responded, “There might have been a phase in my life when this was true. Different people may define it differently, but within those terms, yes, there could have been times when I did engage in such behavior. However, not throughout most of my life—just specific instances where I experimented with that lifestyle. Hence, possibly.”

Looking back at those days, the actor commented, “Those were phases where I gained knowledge. As long as I acquired new understanding, these times were worthwhile.”

cautioned younger individuals about embracing promiscuous tendencies, highlighting the difficulty in altering this conduct following wedding vows.

He

Stressed, “It’s cool to be a player, but if you adopt that habit or lifestyle, you won’t transform instantly.”

He further explained,

If you struggle with commitment and frequently move between relationships, this pattern likely won’t disappear once you get married. After marriage, if you haven’t built up the necessary resilience, even minor issues can make you want to leave or think, ‘I am speaking but you aren’t hearing me; I should look for someone who will listen.’

Etim-Effiong advised young people to consider carefully their relational decisions, emphasizing that “should your behavior involve easily walking away from commitments or maintaining multiple relationships prior to marriage, this pattern will likely persist after getting married.”
