G-Dragon, who usually remained tight-lipped about speculations regarding his love life, has become more open lately.
After denying rumors about dating Kim Go-eun, formerly known as Miss Korea, and actress Han So-hee, they have moved away from their previous “no comment” approach regarding allegations of a relationship with Sana from TWICE. Nevertheless, they remain silent on the speculation surrounding a possible romance with Lee Ju-yeon from After School. The varying responses to these similar situations continue to attract notice.
Speculations about a romantic connection between G-Dragon and Sana started circulating after G-Dragon shared an image from a Coldplay concert on his profile in April. In this post, he included a close-up shot of Sana amid the TWICE stage setup, tagging her account since she was present as a guest at the event. Additionally, he appended a short message written in Japanese.
When G-Dragon shared an image of Sana performing with TWICE on his profile, tagging only her personal account but not TWICE’s official page, questions arose about their potential romance. He soon removed the post without providing any clarification, fueling speculation further.
The circumstances, initially understood at the time, were resolved just a month afterward due to G-Dragon’s stance. His management firm, Galaxy Corporation, released a YouTube web entertainment program titled “Dex and Sana’s Chilly Interview” on April 14th and attended a Coldplay concert in South Korea on April 22nd. Back then, he dismissed reports about a romantic connection, stating that tagging the vehicle right after wrapping up the film shoot for ‘Ninterview’ was merely a gesture of friendship.
He mentioned that ‘I didn’t provide an explanation initially because I believed that my appearance on the show might have revealed too much information prematurely.’

Actually, this isn’t the sole instance where G-Dragon has denied being involved in a romantic relationship. Last December, when rumors about him dating Han So-hee surfaced, he stated they were “baseless.” Similarly, back in March of the same year, he refuted speculations linking him romantically with Kim Go-eun, describing their connection merely as that between two close friends.
This stands in sharp contrast to previous public reactions. G-Dragon was well-known for being a celebrity who seldom addressed speculation regarding his love life. Despite being spotted with Japanese actor Kiko Mizuhara in 2015 and actress Nana Komatsu in 2016, he never provided a definitive response. Similarly, when rumors emerged about him dating singer Jenny from BlackPink in 2021, he merely stated “Unconfirmed.”
Regarding his hesitation, during an appearance on MBC’s “Radio Star” in 2017, he stated, “It might or might not be widely known.” As a public person, he chooses to exercise caution so as not to harm the woman involved. He explained, “While I am entitled to know information, I do not have the duty to disclose it.”

This strategy continues due to rumors about dating Lee Ju-yeon. Speculations regarding their romance started in 2017 after images and clips showing them together surfaced publicly. This has led to such speculations being circulated at least six times. Most recently, the resemblance between the inside of Lee Ju-yeon’s cat photo set and G-Dragon’s previous home, along with the accessories used for the cat, further fueled these discussions.
Nevertheless, G-Dragon didn’t bring up the topic this time around. Even as he’s been actively addressing various romantic speculations lately, all eyes are now on G-Dragon’s ‘dual reaction’—he remains silent regarding the rumors connected to Lee Ju-yeon.
