Burna Boy

is not shying away from strongly reacting to the intense criticism he has received for wanting to offer a complimentary concert to the citizens of Burkina Faso.

On the Instagram story of NSOW TV, Burna Boy posted that he was taken aback by the adverse responses and firmly stated that those criticizing him lack the authority to dictate his actions across any part of Africa.

The Grammy-winning artist also mentioned that even though he doesn’t stand to benefit from anybody, this hasn’t prevented him from achieving significant accomplishments.

I mentioned wanting to host a complimentary event in Burkina Faso and received considerable positivity. However, it was unexpectedly accompanied by some ignorant individuals who voiced extremely negative comments that left me stunned.

1. I’m sorry but YOU are not qualified to even speak my name If your only contribution to this world is typing dumb comments or talking into your cheap Ringlight and Phone.

2. How can you tell me what to do for any part of my home “AFRICA” when Nobody in the history of your Family tree has done anything

important or relevant to any part of Africa or even to our planet as a whole.

3. I have no personal gains to seek from others, nor do I owe them anything, yet this has not prevented me from undertaking the significant tasks at hand; my honesty remains beyond question.

Therefore, burn in hell if you said anything negative.”

Burna Boy’s reaction comes after some critics described his offer as an unnecessary distraction for the West African country that is currently undergoing a critical moment in its political history.

Earlier in May, the Nigerian superstar disclosed his desire to headline a free concert in Burkina Faso.

The West African country has attracted global attention courtesy of
its young military ruler, Captain

Ibrahim Traore

, who in 2022 took over the government in a coup.

Traore’s reforms and vocal rejection of imperialism
have attracted praise among millions of people, especially among young Africans who see him as a revolutionary force.

Although the Grammy-winning artist is now unlikely to play in Burkina Faso, they are scheduled to keep up their hectic 2025 performance schedule onstage.

This year, the hitmaker
created a historic moment by packing the 80,000-seat Stade de France in Paris.

He was also the first African musician to perform at The Coop Arena in Manchester, which is the largest indoor venue in England.

Fans are eagerly anticipating his forthcoming 8th album.

No Sign of Weakness’,

anticipated for release later this year.
