Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney’s interpreter is set to be awarded a prestigious Welsh honor.
Maxine Hughes, who is both a broadcaster and a journalist, will receive an honor from Gorsedd Cymru during this year’s National Eisteddfod taking place in the Wrexham area.
Hughes, who hails from Conwy, is renowned as the official Welsh translator and enjoys playfully teasing people.

The Gorsedd of the Bards is a society comprised of individuals who have made notable contributions to Wales as a nation, its language, and its cultural heritage.
Hughes, who formerly worked at ChinPaoNews and currently resides in Washington D.C., traveled to Los Angeles where he secured the role of the “official Welsh interpreter” for the TV show.
She appears in a video playing the role of an assistant.

She dismisses their comments and offers her own analysis of the couple in Welsh, with subtitles conveying this to the viewers.
Additionally, a blue robe will also be awarded for contributions to the country.

Aled Iorwerth served as a journalist and broadcaster at BBC Ynys Môn before winning a seat as an Assembly Member for Anglesey in 2013.
Journalist and broadcaster Dewi Llwyd will similarly be honored at this year’s festival.
From Bangor, Llwyd has been reporting in Welsh about some of the most significant news events both in Wales and around the globe for almost fifty years.
He has represented S4C during their election programs and has hosted the channel’s primary news broadcast as well as the debate show “Pawb a’i Farn” for numerous years.
Mark Lewis Jones, an actor hailing from Rhosllanerchrugog, Wrexham, will be receiving an honor as well.
He has been featured in shows like The Crown, Game of Thrones, and is recognized for acting in movies such as Star Wars: Episode VIII and The Far Side of the World.
