Today, the Cabinet of the Federal Republic of Somalia convened an extraordinary session led by Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre.
The meeting centered around an extensive evaluation of nationwide security measures, collaboration between various law enforcement entities, the importance of community involvement in enhancing overall stability, as well as preparations at a national level for forthcoming occasions such as Eid festivities, Independence Week, and end-of-year high school examinations.
The government praised Somalia’s landmark entry into the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-HABITAT), acknowledging its importance for advancing urban growth and environmental improvement.
After the meeting, Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre headed a delegation to the Republic of Djibouti today in response to an official invite from the President of Djibouti.
Conversations between the Prime Minister and Djibouti’s leaders will center on security matters, economic collaboration, and the strong bonds of kinship between the two adjacent nations and their populations.
