In the early hours of the morning, the musician asserted that he was facing imminent peril.
Waithaka alleged that there was somebody attempting to abduct him.
The artist revealed that the scheme involved kidnapping him during a show he was set to perform later that evening.
Waithaka claimed that the intention was to either quieten him or do away with him.
Even though he didn’t reveal his sources, Kenyans were greatly concerned about him.
He wrote:
Someone intends to kidnap me during my performance tonight at OJ Bypass Memorial. The plan is aimed at silencing me permanently, perhaps even ending my life!
Did Waithaka join the musicians who met Kindiki?
The musician did not join the Mount Kenya artists who went to visit Deputy President Kithure Kindiki at his home.
The list of musicians who have visited Kindiki includes Samidoh Muchoki, Karangu Muraya, Ben Githae, Jose Gatutura, DJ Fatxo, and Ngaruiya Junior, among others.
The artists encountered backlash from their supporters after meeting with the political figure.
Kindiki argued that the artist’s trip aimed at getting governmental assistance to break up oppressive cartels within the sector.
His concerning post has emerged as his partner, Muthoni Wa Kiramba, and Murang’a Women Representative, Betty Maina, exchange heated comments online.
