Nollywood actor Emmanuel Ehumadu has weighed in on the controversy that trailed the wedding of actress Ruby Ojiakor over the weekend, urging his colleagues to tone down the drama and allow the newlywed enjoy her moment.
On Instagram, Ehumadu posted:
Our Nigerian film industry ladies and their dramas go on till episodes 5 & 6… Everyone needs to relax and let Ruby savor her marriage. We’re not here for a popularity contest.
His statement follows tensions that arose during the event. Actress Angela Okorio seemed to criticize Destiny Etiko, who apparently ceased showering money when Angela went onstage to perform. Additionally, actress Chioma Nwaocha suggested there was “inauthentic vibes” amongst the participants.
