The online beef between Kameme FM presenter Gladys Muthoni, popularly known as Muthoni wa Kirumba, and Murang’a Woman Representative Betty Maina has just got juicier.
Is Maina involved in the dispute with Muthoni’s mother?
The conflict between the two public personalities started as a mild interaction but swiftly turned into a harsh rivalry.
The tensions reached their peak on June 1 when Muthoni went live on TikTok along with Waithaka wa Jane and various users. During this session, she expressed her grievances publicly and leveled significant accusations against the lawmaker.
Previously, Maina had unleashed a series of personal assaults, charging her with feelings of envy and stating she was constantly clashing with everybody, even her own mother.
What upset Muthoni was that Maina reportedly insulted her through private messages on WhatsApp and involved her mother in their dispute.
Muthoni angrily exclaimed, ‘Twice you called me and then chose to hurl insults at me via WhatsApp. To make matters worse, you continued your assault by disrespecting me on Facebook, assuming I would cower. You’re certainly among those who belittle their female counterparts.’
She proceeded to charge Maina with implicating her friends in the dispute and exhibiting an unwarranted concern about her family.
“Furthermore, you contacted one of my friends and began questioning her about my mother’s financial situation and appearance. Are you planning to marry her? Why are you so curious about my mother? If this is related to her, I’ll have to take action,” she cautioned.
The media figure didn’t halt their tirade there. During an impassioned outburst, they leveled additional accusations against Betty Maina concerning her private affairs, such as assertions about former partnerships and experiences with abortion.
“She entered my personal WhatsApp chat, and I’ve informed Sabina Chege about it as well. At this point, you cease interacting with Wa Kirumbu and begin communicating directly with Muthoni, who rules over Nyandarua like a queen. If you think you’re tough enough, come face me at Kijabe Street,” she said, clearly upset.
The verbal conflict has ignited a craze among internet users, with numerous individuals eagerly awaiting Maina’s response to the incendiary allegations.
