The mother of former Senator from Kogi West, Smart Adeyemi, Victoria AdeyemI, has passed away.
Victoria passed away on Wednesday morning at her home in Abuja.
Dr. Aliyu Badaki, the National President of Iyara Development Association, verified the news through an announcement made on Thursday.
Badaki announced, “It is with great sorrow that we share the joyful departure of our beloved grandmother, mother, Mrs Victoria Oyeyemi Adeyemi (née Ibilola). She will forever be cherished for her dedication and enthusiasm toward the progress of Iyara.”
He conveyed the community’s sympathies to Adeyemi and the family regarding the sad loss, seeking solace in prayer for her everlasting peace.
“May her spirit find eternal peace. We extend our deepest sympathies to the whole family, particularly to Honorable Senator Smart Adeyemi, and to the community at large. Farewell, dear mother,” the statement concluded.
