People eager to explore Iran can participate in an array of enjoyable activities including readings as part of “Read Iran: More Than Just Books; It’s Life,” taking place at TK Park on the 8th floor of CentralWorld along Ratchadamri Road. The event runs from this Saturday through June 15.
Organized jointly with the Cultural Center of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Thailand to commemorate the 70th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Thailand and Iran, this event aims to provide fresh insights into Iran and the broader Persian sphere, moving beyond conventional viewpoints.
The showcase will feature uncommon books along with modern art pieces that depict the lifestyle of Iran in an understandable manner.
On both Saturday and Sunday, four chosen Iranian films will be shown at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM. These include “Dolphin Boys,” an animated family film; “Twenty-One Days Later,” a touching drama; “Goodbye Shirazy Girl,” a romantic comedy; and “In the Arms of the Tree,” a dramatic story for families.
Each day from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, attendees can join a Persian design painting session where they will master the technique of using authentic Persian ink combined with 24-carat gold infused with honey.
The session will be led by Arash Ghaheraoyian, a specialist in traditional Iranian art and design, known for his exhibits in numerous global museum shows and international fairs. Admission is free of charge; however, seating capacity is restricted.
On June 14, the “Following The Rose” walking tour will take place to discover the vibrant Persian community in Bangkok, brimming with historical narratives and cultural connections.
The final activity of the event, titled “A Taste of Persia,” scheduled for June 15th, invites participants to savor Persian tea and sweets, all while listening to tales that highlight a rich and significant culinary heritage.
