The artist addressed a fan’s proposal for reconciliation by harshly rejecting it, expressing a desire to sever ties with his siblings.
Nigerian pop star Peter Okoye, widely recognized as Mr. P from the musical pair P-Square, has at last broken his silence regarding the current fraudulent activities accusations surrounding his kinfolk.
The singer didn’t mince his words.
In a string of heartfelt and candid messages on X, Mr. P announced that he has completely cut off contact with his twin brother Paul and elder brother Jude Okoye, who previously acted as the group’s manager.
These puzzling remarks came in response to a fan’s attempt to encourage reconciliation with his brothers.
The fan argued that it was not right to fight his family.
In his own words:
Continue to fight… ultimately, you’ll understand that family is what truly counts… regardless of how many battles you’ve won or lost, or what you’ve acquired along the way… deep down, you remain brothers.
However, Peter was not convinced. He responded with a harsh message cutting ties with his brothers.
We are beyond being considered family now! Blood ties may define us as family, yet true kinship lies in unwavering loyalty. Do not allow your so-called family to keep you submerged in silence. I endured such isolation for more than two decades, nearly losing everything because of it. Genuine love never coerces; genuine loyalty remains steadfast; genuine family does not rob you blind… Should maintaining these connections jeopardize my well-being, they come with an unacceptably high price tag! #iNoLongerClaim Them.
This heartfelt message came after recent legal hearings during which Jude Okoye’s attorney alleged that Mr P had misrepresented facts in his EFCC testimony. The lawyer accused Mr P of falsely claiming access to Northside Music Ltd’s financial records and embellishing his educational qualifications.
Reacting quickly, Peter responded:
precisely what I was referring to: their spokesperson going to great lengths to portray me as dishonest. I’m not MayD or Cynthia Morgan; I am Peter Okoye—the one and only THE ROCK of the Okoyes. In the end, the truth will triumph.
