Gospel singer Muigai wa Njoroge has responded strongly to a fan who brought up his early romance with Gladys Njeri.

Early in 2024, during an open discussion with Kameme FM, Njeri, who has four children, shared her experience of how Muigai’s choice to wed again impacted her life.
Njeri disclosed that their relationship was over, though she did not mention whether they had finalized a divorce.
The founder of the Woman of Courage Foundation shared how she fell into a state of depression and often remained in bars until dawn, indulging in alcohol. Njeri mentioned that she felt resentful and would shed tears every day following Muigai abandoning her at the age of 28 along with their three children.

The multi-spouse gospel artist participated in the Ngemi Festival in Naivasha, Nakuru County, last weekend alongside his second spouse, Stacey.
Muigai posted pictures sporting coordinating khaki shorts and a t-shirt, paired with white sneakers, standing beside Stacey, who had on a vibrant short dress and white sneakers as well.
The couple beamed with joy as they struck poses for pictures at the location of the event.

A follower commented on the pictures, criticizing Muigai for overlooking his first wife, who assisted him in building his business, and instead investing most of his time with his second companion.

When did Muigai wa Njoroge and Njeri first encounter?
Earlier, Muigai disclosed that he encountered Njeri in 2000 close to a chang’aa den. The artist recounted that he was residing in a tin-roofed house back then, mentioning that they relocated together following their second encounter.
Muigai said he had only KSh 7,000 in his pocket when he decided to marry Njeri, saying she tamed him and helped shape his future.
Despite being apart, the two are successfully sharing parental duties.
