Chaos Erupts at Bodyguard’s Funeral: Brother Accuses Sister-in-Law of Mistreatment

June 13, 2025

  • The funeral of Jonah Rotich unexpectedly turned into a dispute when his brother alleged that the widow had been mistreating him.

  • The sibling portrayed Rotich’s professional life as satisfying, yet his personal life was fraught with irritation, leading the lady to respond accordingly.

  • The event has sparked varied responses on social media, where people have differing views about the accusations.

On Wednesday, June 4, Ababu Namwamba’s longtime bodyguard, Jonah Rotich, was laid to rest.

Ababu along with his companion Amy Lucia attended the funeral of Rotich’s loved one to pay their respects to the deceased officer.

Yet, an emotional scene occurred as Rotich’s brother stepped up to the podium to deliver his speech.

Were Ababu Namwamba’s bodyguards mistreated by his wife?

He charged his spouse with ill-treatment throughout their life together, stating that he found no tranquility within his own household.

While delivering his comments and describing the hardships endured by his brother at the hand of his spouse, the widow swiftly approached the podium and cut him off.

With great fury, she moved closer and directly aimed at his eyes, just as the man pushed him forward. Then, someone else intervened and pulled the enraged woman aside.

“Rotich endured greatly. Ababu Namwamba, despite your collaboration with him, you were unaware of the frustration lurking beneath his courageous demeanor. He confided in me that he found satisfaction in his job and appreciated serving under Ababu for 18 years; however, he felt no issues with his superior. Yet, his true struggle lay within his own household—it became akin to a slaughterhouse for him. I must express this candidly—I have nothing to lose by doing so. The pressures Jonah faced were immense; even I cannot fathom them. One needs tranquility at home post-work. His revelations left me deeply aggrieved.” At these words, the widow interjected.

I absolutely wouldn’t tolerate living with a poisonous partner for an extended period… so, what prevents individuals from leaving these kinds of marriages?
