Fans of ice cream are celebrating the comeback of Blue Bell Creameries’ Cookie Cake Ice Cream.
Last week, the beloved snack made its comeback to store shelves, exactly one year since it placed second in the company’s Great Scoop Revival Flavor Contest.

Enthusiastic fans, such as the renowned food blogger Snackolator, were overjoyed to discover that the delightful snack has returned to freezer aisles.
Sadly, they found out with disappointment that the flavor is only offered for a restricted period.
“I’m practically pleading with you to think again about this ‘limited-time’ offer,” an Instagram user commented.
“Thank you, Bluebell—now let’s make this flavor available all year,” another fan replied.
Others have already stocked up on the item and have requested the brand bring back peach cobbler or confetti cake ice cream next.
Six years ago, Blue Bell introduced their Cookie Cake Ice Cream to store shelves, but it was discontinued in 2020.
This delightful dessert, which includes chunks of chocolate chip cookie dough mixed with ribbons of both chocolate and vanilla ice cream, quickly turned into an essential choice for everyone.
Although the flavor came in second place during the brand’s contest, the competition was tight enough to prompt Blue Bell to bring it back this year.
Instagram influencers also directed attention to that year’s champion, Groom’s Cake Ice Cream.
The Groom’s Cake was restocked in stores starting from May 1 and continues to be available for purchase at retail locations across the country.
Unfortunately, like Cookie Cake, this flavored ice cream is only available for a limited time.
Two ice cream varieties were chosen from a selection of 16 different Blue Bell brand flavors.
Other flavors that could have won a store return included Blueberry Cheesecake, Lemon Bliss, and Tiramisu.
Blue Bell’s ice cream isn’t the sole cookie-inspired dessert to make it onto store shelves this year.
