Accra, May 31, GNA – Mr Daniel Krull, the German envoy, expressed high praise for the citizens of Ghana due to their backing during his departure from the nation following four years marked by service, commitment, and camaraderie.

In a heartfelt poem entitled “Burger Must Go,” he delved into the strong cultural ties and successful partnerships established between Germany and Ghana. He also praised the welcoming nature, toughness, and hospitable spirit of the Ghanaian populace at a farewell concert held over the weekend.

Born in Hamburg, Germany, Mr. Krull distilled his remarkable experiences, aspirations, and reflections into a theatrical presentation that showcased the iconic “Burger-Highlife” musicians from Ghana who traveled to Hamburg during the 1980s.

During the commemoration of the 836th anniversary of the Port of Hamburg held at his residence, he praised the cooperative ethos he encountered during his time in office, acknowledging Ghanaians for their dedication to maintaining peace, fostering democracy, and promoting innovation.

Heading to his next post in Nigeria, the Ambassador stated: “It’s time for Burger Must Go; we should focus on what lies ahead. I’ve been given hints that my stay may extend within this area. There’s a possibility of me being reassigned to a larger nation.”

A nation larger than stunning Ghana, teeming with countless vibrant, dynamic, and aspiring individuals; a land where the inhabitants assert that their version of jollof surpasses Ghana’s.

You Ghanaians are the reason I’m incredibly excited about the prospect of the next post on the African continent. Thank you very much. Ghana, you served as my entry point to Africa, its culture, music, art, and cuisine.

Although our journey is drawing to a close and it’s time to reflect, I am deeply thankful to all Ghanaians who welcomed me with open arms and assisted me in finding solutions to numerous questions I encountered since my arrival in Ghana four years ago.

The anniversary event gathered government representatives, diplomats, entrepreneurs, scholars from academic institutions, development collaborators, German citizens, and professionals from the private sector. They spent the evening dancing to calming tunes while enjoying glasses of wine and beer.

Among the performers who energized the evening were Souly Bird, Okyeame Kwame, and Kofi Kinaata, along with the renowned DJ Andy Dosty. His high-energy Highlife mixes had both the ambassador and the attendees dancing enthusiastically for an extended period.
